Fredrick Meijer Gardens
We had so much fun taking Janae to Fred Meijer Gardens!! She really liked the water but, the butterflies were cool too. :) She loved playing outside in the Childrens Garden and checking out all the cool stuff that is there. It was kind of cold that day so we will have to go back in the summer when it's warmer out and she can play at the water part that was still closed up!
Walking on top of a big dragon statue!
Hanging out with Daddy on the dragon statue.
Walking on the very fun bridge...that shakes and moves as I walk.
Sitting on a nest full of robin's eggs...how cool is this place!

At the Park!
Sunday, April 20, 2008
Hope everyone is enjoying these wonderful spring days we are having...we sure are! Janae and I (and daddy when he's home) have been loving that we can get outside and play (and work.) It's just so much better than being cooped up inside.
As for Aunt Marcia she is now in the Laurels of Carson City. It's a nice place but, I will say it's not perfect. It's nice (definitely not as terrible as Ionia dont think that's really possible.) We haven't had too many problems but, I do have a couple of issues that are annoying me. She is healing "ok" she needs to see a wound specialist once a week in order to heal properly and well she didn't get to see one last week so I'm calling her podiatrist next week to have him set her up an appointment. There is only one spot that isn't healing and now they are thinking that looks infected! So we will soon see. She has a doctor's appointment with Dr. Harris on May 15.
I suppose I have to stop typing now and take Janae outside because she is over banging on the window! We haven't had our outside play time yet today and she's not taking a day off! Hope this finds everyone well.

Just thought I would update everyone on how my Aunt was doing. She is now in Spectrum Health - Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids (again.) She was taken down after her appointment on Thursday in Greenville, the doctor wanted her admitted ASAP so that she could start getting IV antibiotics. They did a debreedment on her left foot and removed three toes yesterday! So now we wait and see how she heals and then hopefully it will go well and we can bring her home soon!!! So now she is down to having only 2 toes left but, they say that she has good circulation in those 2 (so cross your fingers and pray hard for her!)
As for us we are all doing well...it's been a pretty slow week Thank goodness. (for a change!) Just the normal stuff like work and well a couple of appointments but, not a lot of running around. I start softball practice tomorrow so that should be interesting since I haven't played since a year after high school :) Hope all is well with everyone else.

Happy Easter!
It's definitely been a trying week! On Monday of this week my Grandma passed away and it was totally unexpected. Don't get me wrong she was 84 and had some health issues but, for the most part she was pretty healthy. That was probably one of the hardest things I've had to witness in my life.! We have pushed on and made it thru the planning, the services, and daily we are dealing with the change of her being out of our lives. She has lived at my parents house for almost 6 years now so since I go over there a few times a week that also meant seeing her as well and now that she's not there it's definitely different. Thank you to all who came, called, and sent flowers. You don't know how much your gestures of kindness are appreciated at this time!
As for today....EASTER! Janae had lots of fun and she enjoyed her Easter. We went to Breakfast with my parents, then we went to visit Aunt Marcia in Ionia, and from there we went to Easter dinner at Aunt Tracy's house in Shepherd. We had lots of fun and Janae really enjoyed the dogs!! She got lots of candy and fun toys to play with. Thank you to everyone...hope you all enjoyed your Easter!

Grand Rapids Childrens Museum
We went to the Childrens Museum and had a great time. Played with lots of toys and did lots of running around. They have Bob The Builder there right now and that brought in a lot of people. It was the busiest that I have ever seen it there. Janae enjoyed herself though as you will see in these pictures!
In these pictures you can see Janae playing with the Bubbles, which was her favorite! Also playing and sorting the balls, looking thru a mirror tube with me looking thru the other end, her playing in Wendy's Caravan, driving Bob's truck Benny "Unreal Banana Peel" that's what Benny says. She was also brushing her hair with the toothbrush from the Dental exhibit that was downstairs. We had a lot of fun and we will definitely go back. We are also planning a trip to see the Butterflies at Fred Meijer Gardens!! We can't wait...
